The World Skills Show 14th – 16th November 2013 – Birmingham NEC

Yesterday we attended The World Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham which is on from the 14th – 16th November 2013. The purpose of the event was to showcase the wide variety of careers and options available to young people post 16.

Many of the exhibitors are colleges, training providers and companies looking to recruit students for  specific careers for example film and television, health and beauty, carpentry, engineering and Information Technology (IT).

The whole show full of ways to encourage young people to have a go and try out aspects of different careers they perhaps have not tried before or did not realise they could do, or were even intrested in.

The oportunity to speak to major providers such as City & Guilds, Investors in People and other key people in the Education and Traning arena all under one roof was insipiring and interesting. A very useful day.
